One thing I encourage all my families to do before their shoot is to slow down the morning of. Make breakfast together. Play your favorite music. Let your kids feel excited, not rushed. A calm family energy translates into emotionally resonant images—ones you’ll want to revisit for decades.
Tips for a Happy, Photo-Ready Home
Declutter just one or two rooms: We don’t need perfection, we need simplicity.
Open blinds and windows to let natural light pour in.
Involve the kids by letting them pick one toy or item to keep nearby.
When we do shoot indoors, I help you identify areas in your home that provide both good light and good storytelling—the reading nook where your toddler snuggles, or the kitchen where morning pancakes happen.

In South Florida, we’re lucky to have some of the most beautiful backdrops: sandy shores, banyan groves, and pastel-hued sunsets. For a joyful space, I look for places that allow movement, discovery, and texture—so children can just bechildren.
