Just a few short month’s ago, baby Sienna was a bun in the oven. Now she’s earth side and oh so sweet! I was so excited to get to capture her early days with her family in these beautiful black and white newborn photos.

Black and White Newborn Photos

I am borderline obsessed with this series of black and white newborn photos. It’s hard to argue the timelessness of a B&W portrait. Any “classically trained” photographer begins their journey with a study of black and white. It’s the foundation of photography that all other photography has started from. So it tugs at my heartstrings ever.single.time.

Perfectly Coordinated Attire

Sienna’s family “understood the assignment” when it came to attire! Everyone was PERFECTLY coordinated in their gorgeous neutrals. Again adding to the timeless quality of this session and the black and white newborn photos.

I met with Mama before their session to help them curate the perfect look- this included some items from the client’s closet and some from my ‘client wardrobe’ selections. This also helps the makeup artist to color match as needed.

While a newborn session may feel focused on baby, it’s also a wonderful pampering experience for Mama (between the wardrobe selection and professional makeup). It’s been a journey to get you here and you deserve a little extra love! I know it can be difficult to feel your best before a newborn session, so I love offering my clients access to my client wardrobe and makeup by a professional makeup artist to ensure my clients feel their best for their shoot.

It has been a joy to capture these milestone moments for this wonderful family! I just adore the black and white newborn photos we captured. Check out Sienna’s big sister, Ryan’s First Birthday too!
