One of the best times to hire a photographer? When you have the family together! In these busy, crazy times we’re living in, the opportunities to get everyone together seem to be fewer and fewer. When everyone does safely gather, there is so much joy exchanged, it is the perfect time to document the day!
I love doing an extended family session - Siblings, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents… whatever the mix, I’m here to help you corral the group into the perfect picture vignettes.
Outfits for Extended Family Session
One of the questions I get often when doing an extended family session is how to coordinate outfits. First and foremost, it’s helpful to have each “smaller” family unit coordinate, then consider the larger group. Color blocking is a great option. Avoiding “loud” patterns is also very helpful. And you want to wear clothing you’ll be comfortable in too! As much as I love everyone dressed up, if it isn’t your usual attire, it might feel forced, which will show in photos.
