The Chauncey Hotel Wedding, Miki & Ed

Miki & Ed’s beautiful summer wedding was held at the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center in Princeton, NJ. I have to admit this has been one of my favorite weddings ever. These two share a palpable love - I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people so more perfectly connected.

I spent most of the morning with Ed as he prepared for the ceremony. The lovebirds got ready in the same house (in different quarters), so I was able to spend time with Miki too. There was such a calm about them during the preparation. Of course, they were both wildly excited, but they were also really peaceful and radiated joy.

Because they both have such amazing families and wedding party, the day went so smoothly. No timeline hiccups or issues at all. And the weather was perfect! All of the details of the day were so well thought out too. Seriously, it was a dream situation!

The ceremony had a faux entrance gate and the background was a large pond on the grounds. The vows were beautiful and the first kiss was awesome. Ed listed Miki in the air and they kissed each other with everything they had (I LOVE when couples do this- it allows me plenty of time to get lots of great smooch shots).

Their first dance is one I will never forget - Grace Vanderwaal’s Beautiful thing and it was the first time I’d heard the song… Tears… just tears streaming down my face… and the brides too. It really was a beautiful thing.

The groom’s brother also put together a video montage that was equally touching and the party - well it was a PARTY!
